Festa di San Giorgio Morgeto

Saturday, April 21st, , 2007

La Cucina invites you to experience the Sangiorgese kitchen in a 5 course meal with featured Chef, and San Giorgio Morgeto descendant, Antonio Leo.

Together, we will embrace the spiritual origins and adoration of the patron San Giorgio, protector of the country, as we indulge in the simplistic delights found in this region.

San Giorgio Morgeto is a town of 5000 souls located in Southern Italy. It is the birthplace of many illustrious “personaggi”: philosophers, painters and poets who contributed to connecting this small southern Italian town to the Sciences and the Arts for generations to come.

Their descendants form an important segment of Guelph’s population, enriching Canadian Culture through the following professions- scientists, engineers, doctors, priests, lawyers, business executives and artisans of every type.
