A Tribute to Verdi

“You may have the universe if I may have Italy” – Giuseppe Verdi
Giuseppe Verdi is best remembered as the most influential composer of 19th century Italian operas. Verdi composed some of his greatest works in his country home, Villa Verdi, located in the region of Emilia-Romagna. Tonight we will introduce you to another little-known aspect of Verdi, the man – his love of fine cuisine. And who better to help us pay homage to Verdi other than Chef Gabriele Paganelli, another of Emilia-Romagna’s favourite sons.
An ongoing and welcome guest in the kitchen at La Cucina, Chef Paganelli will share with us the authentic flavours of his homeland. Pianist John Licari will help us honour Verdi’s musical legacy.
