May 30, 2006 : La Cucina is proud to welcome special guest Christina Stelmacovich. A powerful mezzo soprano trained at the Oberlin School of Music in Cassalmaggiore, Italy, Christina is currently a voice instructor at York University. She has performed in numerous operas boasting several renowned conductors and choirs and was also a finalist in the CBC Radio Canada competition for young performers. Join us as we intertwine a wonderful five course menu with the exquisite musical journey Christina will take us on, certainly a perfect compliment to any spring evening.

Known for her sensitive interpretation of Baroque music, she has performed numerous works with choirs and orchestras across the country such as the Aradia Baroque Ensemble, the Elmer Iseler Singers, the Ottawa Choral Society, the Niagara Symphony Chorus and Orchestra, the Algoma Chamber Singers of Sault Ste. Marie, the Burlington Civic Chorale and Musicus Bortnianski. |
