Alimento Lento- Slow Food

The night we have much anticipated has finally arrived! A chance for us to rebel against the fast-paced fast food world. We are pleased to announce two very special Slow Food advocates - Chef Mark Picone and Wine educator, Paul DeCampo. Chef Mark Picone is one of only three Canadians to be appointed to the “Order of Professional Italian Restaurateurs” based in Genoa, Italy. This distinction recognizes that Chef Picone has brought Italian culinary standards to a new level outside of Italy. Paul DeCampo, who is also Events Co-ordinator for Slow Food Toronto, will inform us of the merits of slow living. We look forward to hearing about his recent trip to the International Slow Food extravaganza, Terra Madre / Salone del Gusto. La Cucina would like to extend thanks to Piero Titone, Assistant Trade Commissioner, for his assistance in helping us co-ordinate this special evening.
